Advanced Sailing Course

If you already have your skipper's license but still feel there's more to learn and practice, this course is designed just for you!

Here, you'll have the chance to dive into the finer details of sailing, with a customizable syllabus tailored to your individual needs and interests.

Below is a selection of topics we cover — areas often missing from basic sailing courses:

Reefing (reducing sail area) under way
Anchoring techniques
Fine sail tuning (Cunningham, outhaul, trim lines, etc.)
Use of traveller and jib car
Boom vang (alba), backstay (achter)
Handling gennaker and spinnaker
Tuning standing and running rigging
Docking & harbor maneuvers — even with yachts over 30 feet

Mark roundings

How the Course Works

We typically use two racing sailboats, each with a max capacity of 4 people (including the instructor). This ensures that every participant gets hands-on time to practice maneuvers and rotate through all crew positions.

Course duration: 2 days
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM each day
Format: Fully on-the-water training
Value: For the price of two days of boat rental, you get two full days of intensive sailing instruction!

You can also choose to take the course on your own boat, where we'll help you fine-tune it and show you how to get the most out of it — even at a custom date.
